declaration of faith

Here at River of Life we believe that God's Word is living and active and His final repository of redemptive revelation to humanity, an objective truth by which you can set the course of your life for time and eternity.

We believe that Jesus the Christ is the incarnation of God who came to earth, lived a sinless life, sacrificed Himself freely, died on a cross for the sins of the world, was dead and buried, but rose again on the third day conquering death, hell, and the grave for all eternity!

We believe that when Jesus beckons to us, "Come, follow Me," we respond by putting our faith, hope, and trust in Him and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord, and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead and are therefore saved from the chains of sin and death through His atonement on the cross.  This then frees us to become born again followers of Christ who strive daily to live as His Disciples knowing that we have now been, "...crucified with Christ and it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives within me.  And the life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up for me." (Cf. Galatians 2:20)
